Like its predecessor, it benefits from the aesthetic solutions and technological advancements incorporated into each new design. But the RM 30-01 has not forgotten its roots, and has reinforced them with a reinterpreted skeletal design that helps establish graphic balance. The grade 5 titanium bridges and baseplate create perspective and depth through the multiplication of parallel sections. The curves of the previous model have been eliminated to allow for a diamond-based geometry, adding dynamic energy to the information display. As a result, the power reserve, clutch engagement and function selector indicators benefit from unprecedented placement and are highlighted by colored transmissions for added emphasis.

Furthermore, the complexity of the new RMAR2 automatic movement in no way hinders certain aesthetic restrictions, which help optimize its ergonomics and use. This dynamic sculpture is showcased through its components, such as the function selector cam and the oversized date disc.

To eliminate any tension associated with winding, the RM 30-01’s variable-geometry oscillating weight automatically disengages from the winding mechanism once the power reserve reaches 55 hours. The RMAR2 movement is therefore able to function properly when the barrel torque benefits from an optimal constant torque/power ratio. Once the 40-hour power reserve threshold is exceeded and energy starts to run low, the oscillating weight re-engages to wind the barrel. It also allows the oscillating mechanism to operate while providing excellent timekeeping performance. These phases can be observed via the clutch engagement indicator at 11 o’clock, which shows the wearer whether the rotor is running (open) or disengaged (closed) during the winding phase.

The function selector also facilitates everyday life, as the user simply presses the button at 2 o'clock to select the desired mode. An indicator located above the oversized date on the dial keeps them informed of the option they have chosen: W for winding, D for date correction, and H for setting the hands.

The two versions of the watch highlight the sculptural tonneau-shaped case. One has a 5N red gold case back and bezel with a grade 5 titanium case middle, while the other is machined entirely from this hypoallergenic material, which offers excellent corrosion and impact resistance. It's been kept as light as possible (96 grams including the strap) and its ergonomic design makes it feel very comfortable on the wrist. Regardless of the version chosen, whether it is a watch in grade 5 titanium or 5N red gold combined with grade 5 titanium, both are enhanced by the same finishes (satin-brushed, polished chamfers, etc.) The lines and complex geometry of this case make it one of the most difficult cases to develop and produce in the entire watchmaking industry.
